The Head of the Occoquan is hosted by the Occoquan Boat Club, and will be held at Sandy Run Regional Park. The event, which will kick off the fall season for the novice squad, is one of the largest rowing regattas in the United States.
“We are looking forward to our first novice race of the season,” assistant coach Tina Griffith said. “We have been working to prepare ourselves and are excited to get the opportunity to test ourselves against a large and solid field.”
WVU will begin the regatta with two boats competing in the Women’s Collegiate Novice 4+ event.
