MORGANTOWN. W. Va. – Nine Mountaineers earned wins as the No. 25 West Virginia University wrestling team defeated Lock Haven, 30-3, on Saturday evening at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown.
West Virginia (5-2) celebrated its annual Cradles for Cancer event, with wrestlers donning pink socks and athletic tape and both coaching staffs wearing pink shirts/ties. WVU head coach Sammie Henson started the event in 2014 in honor of his wife, Stephanie, who was battling breast cancer.
Moisey got the Mountaineers off to a 4-0 lead with an 8-0 major decision over Jake Field at 125 pounds.
