The No. 11 West Virginia Mountaineers won’t hold on to that ranking for long after getting blown out by the Texas A&M Aggies in Ramstein, Germany in the Armed Forces Classic.
If games were played 10 minutes at a time, West Virginia would be a shoe-in for the National Championship. The Mountaineers started things off hot against the Aggies, opening up a 26-13 lead over A&M around the 8:00 minute mark of the first half. It was all downhill after that. The Aggies switched to a zone defense, and anything West Virginia’s offense had going for them completely fell apart.
