No. 25 Mountaineers Tally Top-10 Score in Wins

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – An astounding 49.575 score on floor in the fourth rotation helped push the No. 25-ranked West Virginia University gymnastics team to a first place, 196.8 showing today at the WVU Coliseum.

The Mountaineers’ (8-6, 0-3) score ranks No. 8 in program history and is the squad’s best score since earning 196.55 on Feb. 24, 2013. WVU’s final total also is the team’s top mark under fifth-year coach Jason Butts. As of 5 p.m. EST today, the Mountaineers are one of 16 teams nationally to score 196.8 or better this year.
