MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– After going 3-0 to open the season, the No. 19 West Virginia University wrestling team will face a trio of opponents at the Journeymen/Asics Northeast Duals, hosted at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, on Sunday. The Mountaineers will take on No. 3 Michigan at 11:15 a.m. before a tilt with Buffalo at 1:15 p.m. They’ll cap the event with a 3:15 p.m. match against Oregon State.
“We look forward to a competitive weekend with the Big Ten, MAC and Pac-12,” said second-year head coach Sammie Henson. “Wrestling Michigan in the first round will be a battle as nine of their 10 starters are ranked.
