The No. 13 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers kicked off an ill-advised six day, three game road trip through Texas with a late comeback win over No. 12 Texas, 84-82.
West Virginia found themselves down 15-8 and already in foul trouble at the first media timeout of the game, as Texas continued to heat up.
Down 24-14 with 13 minutes left in the half, the combo of Deuce McBride and Taz Sherman combined for an 8-0 run to close the lead to two points. The Longhorns would answer and extend their lead back to nine points, but the Mountaineers continued to fight from behind.
