MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– The No. 1- ranked West Virginia University rifle team will face No. 14 Memphis this Saturday, Nov. 5, at the WVU Rifle Range.
The Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) match is set to begin with the smallbore discipline at 8 a.m.
“We’re not treating this match differently from any of the others,” coach Jon Hammond said.
WVU (4-0, 2-0 GARC) returns to competition following a two-week break.
The Mountaineers are 9-2 all-time against the Tigers. WVU defeated Memphis 4693-4671 last season, scoring 2367-2355 in air rifle and 2326-2316 in smallbore.
“The mental approach is that we’re competing against ourselves,” Hammond said.
