No. 1 Mountaineers Defeat Memphis

Today’s match was the Mountaineers’ (5-0, 3-0 GARC) first at the Range since defeating Ohio State on Oct. 2 in their 2016-17 season opener, and the team’s first home Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) match of the year.

“It was nice to be back at the WVU Rifle Range today, especially after a week away from competition,” Mountaineer coach Jon Hammond said. “It’s always nice to shoot inside your home range.”

The Mountaineers marked their return to Morgantown with a season-high 2351 smallbore score. The squad also shot a winning 2362 air rifle. The Tigers finished with marks of 2310 in smallbore and 2340 in air rifle.
