Nighttime kickoffs coming to Morgantown next season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia will host at least three night football games next season, assuaging fans’ complaints regarding the recent spate of noon kickoffs.

The Big 12 Conference and WVU announced Thursday the start times for three games next fall:

Sept. 8 — WVU vs. Youngstown State, 6 p.m. (AT&T SportsNet)
Oct. 25 — WVU vs. Baylor, 7 p.m. (FS1)
Nov. 23 — WVU vs. Oklahoma, 8 p.m. (ESPN)

The Sooners visit for the regular-season finale on the Friday after Thanksgiving, a game that Mountaineers fans hope will carry Big 12 title game implications.
