“Hot Seats” Are Just Dumb: I get that fan bases and even the administration has expectations but placing a coach on the quote-unquote hot seat is silly. If you place said coach on the hot seat and he wins, is he on the hot seat again? If not, why not because he won in a single year? Why doesn’t that hot seat apply every year? If a coach has a resume of performance and suddenly suffers a down year, why is he on the hot seat? Overall, the idea of a coach in a put up or shut up year seems dumb to me.
