The Mountaineers open the day at 1 p.m. against the Washington Spirit, members of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). WVU previously was scheduled to meet Maryland in the Jamboree opener. The squad will close the afternoon against American at 3 p.m. Both matches will be played at the facility’s Field 2.
“This is an exciting weekend for us with two opportunities to get better,” Mountaineer assistant coach Marisa Kanela said. “By playing back-to-back matches, we’ll be able to see where the level of fitness is for our girls and to witness the results of their hard work in the weight room, on the track and on the field.
