MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team will be well represented at the 2015 European Shooting Championship, set for July 18 – Aug. 1, at the Shooting Center Gaj Maribor, in Maribor, Slovenia.
Senior Michael Bamsey and coach Jon Hammond will shoot for Great Britain, while Bamsey’s classmate, Meelis Kiisk, will compete for Estonia. Additionally, 2015 graduate Ziva Dvorsak will shoot for the host country, Slovenia.
This week’s competition is the first for Kiisk, Dvorsak and Hammond since the inaugural European Games in June. Kiisk, a native of Paide, finished eighth in the men’s 50m rifle prone, shooting a final score of 80.
