“Today’s scrimmage was very useful in helping us assess our progress to this point of the fall,” coach Jimmy King said, “As to be expected, we saw some good things and some not-so-good things we definitely need to improve upon. We’re clearly moving in the right direction, but we need to pick up the pace.”
WVU and Duquesne competed in four 1000-meter pieces that alternately started and finished by the Star City Bridge. After the four pieces were completed, the boats then raced in three sprints while heading back to the WVU Boathouse, lasting two-minutes, 90-seconds and one-minute.
