ANN ARBOR, Mich. (August 29, 2015) – The West Virginia volleyball team couldn’t overcome George Washington’s hot-hitting offense and fell to the Colonials, 3-0, in the Michigan Invitational at Cliff Keen Arena in Ann Arbor on Saturday morning in set scores of 15-25, 12-25 and 18-25.
GWU hit .321 with 38 kills in the three-set match, while WVU registered a .112 attacking percentage on 27 kills. The Colonials also out-blocked the Mountaineers, 8-4.
The loss moves the Mountaineers to 1-1 on the season. They will look to bounce back Saturday evening when they take on host Michigan in a 7:30 p.
