Kade Strowd and Brock Helverson had poor days on the mound, and the Mountaineers never really had a chance to get back into the ballgame after falling behind early, eventually falling 10-2. WVU came into Sunday looking for a sweep after winning the first two games of the series, but Texas came out guns blazin’.
Winning Pitcher
Ty Madden (4-1, 2.10 ERA)
Kade Strowd (4-5, 4.53 ERA)
Matteo Bocchi (2)
WVU only led for a half-inning in this one, as Texas put two runs up in the bottom of the 2nd after Marques Inman scored on a Phillip Dull groundout in the top of the inning.
