MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Naomi Davenport’s 18 points led four starters in double figures as West Virginia downed Saint Joseph’s 79-51 in the second round of the WNIT on Sunday.
Kristina King shot 7-of-9 for 15 points and Teana Muldrow posted her 14th double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Katrina Pardee added 15 points for the Mountaineers (23-11), who forced 22 turnovers.
Chelsea Woods scored 15 to pace Saint Joseph’s (19-15).
“Defensively, I thought we started the game very up the lanes and took them out of their stuff,” WVU coach Mike Carey said.
