Monday stock report: Some dips against Liberty but at least no market crash

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Seems we’re always looking for signs, indicators, tells. We being sports writers, fans, coaches … OK, humans. Malcolm Gladwell could probably transform that last sentence into a terrific pop-science paperback, but as we try to read ahead on the 2015 Mountaineers, let’s note a few truisms about their accomplishments through the season’s first fortnight:

• Outscored two opponents 36-zip during the first half.

• Led by an average margin of 32-4 entering the fourth quarter. (I even rounded up on the opponents’ total.)

• Held Georgia Southern and Liberty to a combined 8-of-28 third downs.
