Game one is in the books, and it looks like all that offseason hype was worth it. West Virginia dominated the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday in a 40-14 win.
Other than the one defensive series that allowed the Vols to control the clock for more than half of the second quarter, I have no complaints. Will Grier and the offense looked outstanding in the second half, and Tony Gibson’s defense held a team to the lowest total yards since late in the 2016 season.
