MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia senior offensive tackle Colton McKivitz was named the top offensive lineman in the Big 12 this season, the league announced in the release of this year’s all-conference team.
McKivitz shares the distinction with Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey, who is one of the frontrunners to win this year’s Rimington Trophy as the nation’s top center.
McKivitz is the second straight Mountaineer to be named the Big 12’s offensive lineman of the year, following in the footsteps of former teammate Yodny Cajuste.
Defensive lineman Darius Stills joined McKivitz in being named to the all-Big 12 first team.
