MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia offensive lineman Colton McKivitz is the Mountaineers’ only representative on this year’s preseason all-Big 12 team, which was released Tuesday. The team is selected by a vote of media members who cover the league.
McKivitz is entering his fourth year as a starter on the West Virginia offensive line. He has made 35 straight starts, playing primarily as a right tackle. The Jacobsburg, Ohio native is moving to left tackle this season to replace NFL draftee Yodny Cajuste.
According to Pro Football Focus, McKivitz has allowed eight sacks in his 1,459 career pass-blocking snaps at West Virginia.
