Marable Awarded Tenn. Sports Hall of Fame Honor

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – West Virginia University wrestling assistant coach Nick Marable was honored as the 2014 Male Professional Athlete of the Year by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday.

Marable, a native of Memphis, joined the staff of the Mountaineers last summer and put WVU wrestling on the international map soon after by competing at the 2014 United World Wrestling World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in September. He earned his spot on Team U.S.A. with an 8-2 win over James Green of Titan Mercury Wrestling Club in the finals of the Senior Men’s U.
