Tyrese Allen will be a Mountaineer in 2018, after choosing West Virginia over a host of other schools including: Kentucky, Memphis, Purdue and Cincinatti. Allen, a three-star prospect out of Paintsville High School in Paintsville, Kentucky, was recruited by defensive line coach Bruce Tall and offers the Mountaineers a player who

can play all three positions in Tony Gibson’s 3-3-5 defense. Standing 6’-3” and weighin 290 pounds, Allen blends the size necessary to hold the point of attack as a nose guard (Christian Brown) with the athleticism and quickness to play defensive end (Noble Nwachukwu).
