MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia assistant Joe Wickline and head coach Dana Holgorsen spent part of their recent bye week mining the junior college circuit in Mississippi. That paid off late Sunday with a commitment from Northwest Mississippi Community College defensive lineman Jalen Harvey.
At 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, Harvey plans to enroll in December and projects as an immediate contender for the nose tackle spot, where West Virginia will lose seniors Darrien Howard and Christian Brown.
“Out of all the schools they are the best opportunity,” Harvey told Keenan Cummings of Rivals.
