Edwards, a native of Boca Raton, Florida, originally signed with the University of Miami (FL). Edwards redshirted during the 2014-15 season due to a knee injury and then transferred to Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Florida.
Edwards averaged 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.3 assists per contest. Her 161 assists ranked 15th in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), while her 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio was 35th. She tied for the team lead in points per contest. Edwards shot 43.5 percent from the field and 30.2 percent from behind the three-point line. She was named a second-team NJCAA All-American earlier this year.
