Joseph, who earned his first career Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honor and the AutoNation National Defensive Player of the Week, was responsible for four turnovers and had a game-high eight tackles, including seven solo stops in West Virginia’s 44-0 shutout over Georgia Southern. He intercepted a career-best three passes, all in the third quarter, and recovered a fumble. Joseph’s three interceptions were the most by one player in a game since 1994.
Joseph’s three interceptions in the third quarter marked the third time in school history in the modern era that a WVU player has achieved this mark.
