Jevon Carter has big night for WVU in win against Fordham

Jevon Carter led the charge for WVU as he poured in 10 points and a career-high 12 assists in the 86-69 victory. It was those assists that fueled the rest of the Mountaineers to a solid night offensively. The Mountaineers were led in scoring by Daxter Miles, who had 21 points.

Carter and Sagaba Konate had double-doubles for WVU as the big man added 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. There were three more Mountaineers reaching double figures as Lamont West scored 15, James Bolden scored 11 and Wesley Harris added 10.

West Virginia had a sizable lead early, but Fordham crept back into the game, cutting the deficit to under 10 points midway through the second half.
