MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia received a 2016 commitment from Pittsburgh offensive lineman Jacob Buccigrossi on Tuesday night, a Rivals two-star prospect whose stock has risen during the spring.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder received an offer from West Virginia in mid-April ad subsequently attended the Gold-Blue spring game. His other offers include Virginia, Arizona, Syracuse, Northwestern, Temple and Toledo.
Former Michigan offensive line coach Darrell Funk visited Buccigrossi at North Hills High School last November and said the Wolverines planned to recruit him, though plans may have changed after Brady Hoke’s staff was replaced by Jim Harbaugh and Co.
