MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The question that has preoccupied much of the West Virginia faithful this offseason — who will be the Mountaineers’ starting quarterback in 2015? — has barely registered with the player most likely to assume that role.
Or so Skyler Howard says.
“That’s not really in my mind anymore,” Howard, junior from Forth Worth, Texas, said. “I’m focused on winning a Big 12 championship, not winning the starting job.”
With the season opener against Georgia Southern just over two months away, Howard is, by all indications, expected to be the player leading coach Dana Holgorsen’s pass-oriented offense.
