Hot Second Quarter Propels WVU to Victory

Both teams played near even in the first quarter, as WVU held a 16-13 lead. The Mountaineers outscored Selecció Catalana, 22-5, in the second quarter and took a 20-point lead at halftime. The Mountaineers’ lead was dwindled to nine with under three minutes remaining in the contest. However, WVU (3-0) added a four-point spurt to close out the win.

Junior Teana Muldrow collected game-highs with 22 points and five rebounds. For the third consecutive game, Katrina Pardee reached double-figures with 11 points. Freshman guard Tynice Martin contributed with 10 points, followed by eight each from Jessica Morton and Anja Martin.
