FORT WORTH, Texas — So captivating were the repeated great escapes of Trevone Boykin that even the opposing coach offered a mid-game high-five.
After an 11-yard scramble on which Boykin dodged and slipped defenders, West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen broke into a wide grin and reached out to the TCU quarterback.
“He was right there and I just saw him make everyone of our players miss,” Holgorsen said after Thursday night’s 40-10 loss, still marveling at Boykin’s athleticism.
“He made one of the best plays I’ve seen in a while. And he was right there (on the sideline), so I didn’t know what the helI else to do.
