The last few years, however, the quarterback play has been somewhat spotty on occasion, but that could change in a big way this fall with nine of the 10 starting quarterbacks returning, including West Virginia’s Skyler Howard.
WVU coach Dana Holgorsen, whose involvement with the Big 12 dates back nearly 20 years, believes this year’s overall crop of QBs could be the strongest the league has seen in at least a decade.
“This reminds me of some of those 2006, 2007, 2008 years when we had a lot of older guys that were returning guys,” Holgorsen admitted during Tuesday morning’s Big 12 media day event at the Omni Dallas Hotel.
