MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — It was 19 days ago that Will Grier told an NFL Combine audience “I feel like I’m the best quarterback in this draft.”
What rang cocky to some was Grier showing the confidence necessary to lead an NFL huddle. He even attributed the comment to “being authentic.”
“I think you have to be confident that you’re the best to ever do it to play the position,” he said Thursday at West Virginia’s pro day. “If you lack confidence in any way, you’re not going to perform the way that you should. I truly believe that.
