WASHINGTON, D.C. — Dylan Nealis scored in the 88th minute to lift Georgetown to a 1-0 win over West Virginia on Sunday.
The Mountaineers (14-7-0) and got a career-high 11 saves from Steven Tekesky and were out-shot 28-11.
The Hoyas improved to 13-4-3.
“I thought we played really hard,” Mountaineers coach Marlon LeBlanc said. “If you look at the stat sheet, you’re going to get a very one-sided run of how this game went. I thought we had some real fight in us, some real effort, and I’m proud of my team for what we did against a lot.
