MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s future offensive line will come with a generous portion of Mayo.
Chris Mayo, a four-star offensive lineman from Richland, N.J., committed to the Mountaineers on Saturday. Mayo is the first offensive lineman to commit to Neal Brown’s first WVU recruiting class.
Mayo is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals. He is the highest-rated player to give Brown a verbal commitment in the Class of 2020. Rivals upgraded quarterback Garrett Greene to a four-star prospect after his commitment.
Mayo chose West Virginia over Kentucky. He had also received heavy interest from Purdue, Arizona State and Auburn.
