Former West Virginia defensive back Tyrek Cole was arrested in Tallahassee, Fla., Wednesday on charges of battery and property damage, according to a state arrest report.
Cole is not a part of the Mountaineers' program and has not been since September, a team spokesman confirmed Thursday. No comment was offered beyond that.
His bail was $500, according to the report.
A four-star recruit in the 2015 recruiting class out of Miramar, Fla., Cole was on campus when West Virginia began its fall training camp on Aug. 3.
