Eleventh-ranked West Virginia looks to keep pace with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State near the top of the Big 12 standings when the Mountaineers battle Texas Saturday in a noon game at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.
The Mountaineers, 7-1, 4-1, are a game behind the Sooners and a half-game behind the Cowboys heading into this weekend’s action. Oklahoma plays host to Baylor while Oklahoma State will welcome Texas Tech on Saturday.
West Virginia is expecting a very difficult game against improving Texas, coming off a 45-37 victory at Texas Tech last Saturday and winners of three of its last four games.
