MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Neal Brown picked up his first West Virginia commitment from a high school player when Florida defensive back Rashean Lynn announced Friday.
Lynn, a 6-foot-5, 184-pound safety from Cocoa, Fla., was recruited as a receiver by several other programs, but liked what the Mountaineers had to offer on the defensive side. New WVU defensive coordinator Vic Koenning served as Lynn’s primary recruiter.
Lynn, a three-star prospect who was scheduled to take an official visit to Indiana this weekend, decided to forego the trip to Bloomington when he picked the Mountaineers. His commitment leaves five open spots in the 2019 class with signing day looming Wednesday.
