Five-Star WR Demetris Robertson Chooses UGA Over West Virginia

The West Virginia Mountaineers and offensive coordinator Jake Spavital fell short in their ability to secure the talents of five-star receiver Demetris Robertson. Robertson, who is transferring from the Cal Bears, narrowed his selection down to four schools: Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns and Mountaineers.

Spavital was Robertson’s offensive coordinator when Demetris was a freshman at Cal. In twelve games, with 11 starts, Robertson caught 50 passes from future New York Giant Davis Webb for 767 yards and 7 touchdowns. If the name Davis Webb sounds familiar, its because he once played for Kliff Kingsbury at Texas Tech.
