West Virginia showed a strong performance in the women’s pole vault at Marshall, as junior Sara Finfrock claimed the victory and three Mountaineers tied for fourth. Finfrock won the event with an indoor career-best mark of 3.80 meters, improving by .12 meters from last weekend’s Akron Invitational. Freshmen Greer Gumbrecht and Megan Silva and junior Rebekah Lafata all tied for fourth place, vaulting 3.50 meters.
In Seattle, redshirt juniors Jillian Forsey and Maggie Drazba represented West Virginia in the 5,000-meter run. Forsey crossed the finish line in 15th with a time of 16:14.
