MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Ginny Thrasher and Milica Babic of the West Virginia University rifle team finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the junior women’s 10m air rifle, today, at the 2017 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship Rifle/Pistol, at the Schießsportzentrum in Suhl, Germany.
Thrasher, a rising junior and shooting in her second final in as many days, finished with a 185.8 mark. Babic, a rising sophomore, tallied 164.7.
A native of Springfield, Virginia, Thrasher entered the final in third place with a 419.9 (105.8, 104.6, 106.0, 103.6) qualification mark. Babic, a native of Belgrade, Serbia, was the last shooter to qualify for the final with a 417.
