Duke, Emotions To Much To Overcome For Mountaineers

The West Virginia Mountaineers couldn’t find their offense tonight and their emotions kept them from being able to mount a comeback against the Duke Blue Devils in the second game at the Morgantown Regional, falling 4-0. A scary situation in the first inning after starting pitcher Alek Manoah recorded two quick outs, Duke doubled down the line then launched a long fly ball to center and junior center fielder Brandon White tracked the ball before tripping and crashing head first into the outfield wall. White lay motionless for several minutes as trainers attended to him before waiving off the cart and remaining in the game.
