Devin Williams went against tough Virginia pressure

On offense, he couldn’t get anything done. His normal second-chance opportunities weren’t there in a 70-54 loss to Virginia on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Actually, he was hard-pressed to even get a first chance.

Williams did score 10 points, but he only grabbed three rebounds. Williams fouled out in the second half and had five turnovers, himself.

The Mountaineers only had 14 second-chance points and were out-rebounded by the Cavaliers, 29-24.

“They did a good job of containing me and keeping me off the boards,” Williams said. “Every time I saw the ball, I saw two people.
