Davis, Myers named to Louisville Slugger freshman All-American roster

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Kyle Davis, who was among the Big 12’s top hitters this season, and pitcher BJ Myers were selected freshman All-America by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday.

That doubles the all-time number of freshman All-American selections for the program, following Jedd Gyorko in 2008 and Adam White in 2006.

Davis batted a team-high .353, an average that remains third-best in the Big 12 with TCU’s hitters still compiling stats in the NCAA super regional. Along with 17 doubles (tied for third in the conference), Davis hit four homers and drove in 31 RBIs, second-most on the team.
