LAWRENCE, Kan. — Naomi Davenport scored 24 points, Teana Muldrow added 19 and point guard Chania Ray notched a double-double as No. 15 West Virginia defeated Kansas 74-54 in women’s basketball action Wednesday night.
After trailing by 11 at the half, Kansas (11-5, 2-3) came within four points in the third quarter, but the Mountaineers (15-2, 3-2) answered with an 11-0 run to regain command. Davenport made two 3-pointers in the stretch and finished 4-of-6 from deep.
Katrina Pardee scored 15 points in the victory, Kristina King grabbed 12 rebounds, and Ray finished with 12 points and a game-high 10 assists.
