West Virginia holds a 27-22-2 advantage in the all-time series, which began with a meeting in Morgantown back in 1919. These two schools met annually from 1980 until 2007 when the series took a pause for two years in 2009-10.
Today’s game will be the sixth straight meeting and the last until play resumes once again in 2020 for two more contests.
West Virginia holds a 14-9-1 record against Maryland in games played in Morgantown, including winning four straight from 2004-2012 – the last time Maryland made an appearance at Milan Puskar Stadium.
