MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — An inexperienced cornerback who left West Virginia’s football team in January has rejoined the program.
Jordan Adams, a 6-foot redshirt junior from Reisterstown, Md., is back on the roster and back in the mix at a position of desperate need for the Mountaineers.
Three-game starter Hakeem Bailey and converted safety Derrek Pitts, a sophomore from Charleston, exited spring practice as the frontrunners at corner. Juco signee Keith Washington, who began his career at Michigan, also debuted in spring sporting a business-like attitude.
UCLA graduate transfer Denzel Fisher remains committed to West Virginia but unsigned, pending completion of his coursework on the West Coast.
