MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — MetroNews has obtained the contract information for new West Virginia associate athletic director for external football affairs Coleman Barnes through a Freedom of Information Act request from WVU.
Barnes, who begins working for the program on Feb. 20, will make $180,000 with additional incentives available based on the team’s on-field success.
- Big 12 championship appearance: $5,000
- Non-CFP bowl appearance: $10,000
- New Year’s Six bowl appearance: $12,500
- CFP semifinal appearance: $15,000
- National championship game appearance: $20,000
Barnes replaces Alex Hammond, who handled the program’s budget and daily scheduling among other areas of administrative oversight.
