Challenge grows more difficult for No. 9 Mountaineers in Gainesville

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. ufffd— Turns out, the Big 12/SEC Challenge will be more of a challenge than No. 9 West Virginia anticipated.

Less than 48 hours after losing forward Jonathan Holton to an indefinite suspension, the Mountaineers (17-3) visit Florida (13-7) at the O-Dome, one of college basketball’s most rabid venues regardless of whether Billy Donovan is coaching or not.

Before Friday’s team charter departed for Gainesville, Huggins teleconferenced with reporters and said the length of Holton’s suspension has not been determined. A source told MetroNews the forward was projected to miss at least three games.
