MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Amy Cashin of the West Virginia University track and field team competed in the semifinals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, in Eugene, Oregon.
Cashin opened up competition for WVU in the women’s semifinals 3,000-meter steeplechase at Hayward Field. The Werribee, Australia, native fell short of qualifying for Saturday’s finals, as she placed 19th with a time of 10:11.86. This was Cashin’s first time competing at the national championships. The top five from each heat advanced to the finals plus the next best two.
