MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — As West Virginia assistant Tyron Carrier game-plans for Week 1, he is simultaneously co-planning for child No. 3.
His pregnant wife Alysha, due to give birth the day after the Sept. 3 season opener against Virginia Tech, won’t risk driving to Landover, Md. With Carrier coaching the Mountaineers’ receivers through a hyper-charged season opener, he has a contingency — and loads of frequent flyer miles — should fate bring an early arrival.
“Her aunt is ready to fly in from Houston at any moment,” he said.
Neither of the couple’s previous two births encountered such logistical conflicts.
